Coaching is different to therapy as it is not about supporting clients with serious mental health conditions. In fact, coaching clients are generally well or healthy individuals who have an awareness of a change that they want to make in their lives and a desire to learn how to get there. Most of the time, coaching clients are focussed on the future and are excited about what's possible for them in life and or in business.
Coaches work with clients that are motivated, excited and yearning for change, as an objective witness that holds a supportive space for the client to explore their unique strengths and abilities. Coaches provide their clients with constructive processes, tools, techniques and strategies to help clients change their lives. It's also important to understand that coaching clients are the type of people that take responsibility for themselves and they appreciate accountability that comes from a coaching relationship.
My role as a coach is to see what you can't see within yourself, to see your blindspot. I see your potential. I see your strengths, abilities, commitment, light and heart and will stand with you shoulder-to-shoulder as you create the changes you want to see in your life or business.
Unlike a therapeutic relationship, where my interaction with you is somewhat limited (I can't often share or disclose, the relationship is more structured and formal and more professional), a coaching relationship is more equal, where I'm able to share personal experiences, tools and strategies to support you in both your challenges and successes! Coaching is more 'friendly' if you like, than therapy.
Aside from a PhD in Psychology and having worked as a Psychologist previously for over 20 years, I have broadened my scope of practice to recognise the importance of soul-based interventions in helping you to achieve your goal and manifest your intentions. These include energy work, shamanic work, oracle and tarot. Before we use any of these additional tools together, I'll share why I think they may be useful and ask your permission. I'm guided by you.
How it Works
Because coaching is focussed on achieving an outcome, a coaching program is put in place to support you. The program can be 90 days, six months or 12 months and we will talk about what will work best for you in our first session so that you leave knowing you are supported and are well on your way to creating the change you truly desire.
You will have one x60 min coaching session per week over the phone or via ZOOM (you decide) over the course of your program, with the fourth week off for integration and implementation. Your first session is an assessment of where things are currently for you and we will create a map of how to get you to where you want to be.
In between your sessions you can access additional support with me via Messenger or VOXER to ensure you have everything you need to help you on your journey.
